callejero
Español a velocidad real

Your Spanish, street level.

Callejero drops you into real scenes: a bar in Madrid, a bus in Bogotá, a taquería in CDMX. The characters talk like locals, keep the scene moving, and correct what you actually said.

6 regional accents · corrections every turn · no ads, no streak guilt
A Callejero scene: the scenario ticket, the learner's Spanish with its correction and native version, and the character's reply
Qué es

Not another flashcard app

Textbook Spanish survives first contact with nobody. Callejero trains the thing you actually need: understanding real people at real speed, and answering without freezing.

Real scenes, real corrections

Roll a scene: region, character, register, a twist. Talk your way through it. The character answers like a person, never breaks the scene to quiz you, and every turn comes back with what you said, how a native would put it, and why.

Listening at real speed

Fresh clips in the accent you choose, at the pace people actually speak. No transcript on screen until you've proven you understood it: summary, questions, or dictation. Then read what was said, line by line.

Lessons from your own mistakes

Your corrections are logged and clustered into the issues you actually repeat: por/para, ser/estar, that subjunctive. Each becomes a lesson with a mini-test built from your own sentences, then your next scenes quietly set you up to use the rule.

How do you actually say it?

The thing you wanted to say and couldn't. Type it, in English or in Spanish, and get three or four ways a native would put it, from bar-counter informal to paperwork formal, each with a one-line why: what makes it sound local, and when you'd use it.

  • Versions in the regions you practice: what Madrid says over the counter, how CDMX softens it
  • Reusable patterns mined from every answer, ready to steal for your next scene
  • One tap saves any version straight to your review pile

Try it right below: the demo answers 3 phrases a day, no account needed.

FAQ

Fair questions

Do I need to speak Spanish already?
No. Callejero adapts from A1 (the character speaks slowly, in short sentences, with patience) up to C1 (full speed, no mercy). You set your level and the app suggests a change when your sessions say you're ready.
Which Spanish will I learn?
The one you choose: Madrid, Andalucía, Ciudad de México, Buenos Aires, Bogotá or Santiago de Chile, each with its real accent, its vosotros, voseo or ustedes, its fillers and its manners. You can lock one region or roll among several.
What happens to what I write?
Your messages are processed to run the scene and build your corrections, and your learning history is stored in your account so lessons can target your real weaknesses. We never sell your data, never show ads, and never use it to train models. Full details in the privacy policy.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It's a web app that runs in your phone's browser: no install, same account everywhere.
How is this different from Duolingo and the others?
Most apps walk you to an intermediate plateau and stop: textbook Spanish, one generic accent, the same drills for everyone. Callejero starts where they stop. You practice real situations in the register people actually use, in the regional Spanish you choose, and the app studies your mistakes to build lessons and scenes aimed at your weak spots. The goal isn't finishing a course. It's being comfortable on the street.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes, yourself, right now: Ajustes has a delete button that erases your account and every row of your learning data on the spot, and cancels your subscription first if you have one. No retention tricks, no 30-day guilt emails. Prefer email? Write to us and we do the same.
